Basics

Closing and payouts

Close a single trade or every trade at once. Wins are paid into your trading balance.

Closing one trade

Press × on a position’s row to close it, with no confirmation. You can also open the row to see its details, including what you’d get if you closed now, and close it from there.

Close all

Close all first shows how many of your positions are winners and losers, the net result and what goes back to your balance. Confirm and Crease closes them in one request, losers first, so their losses fund the winners.

How wins are paid

Papertrade scales a win down by how far the price moved, then takes a 2% fee. A win keeps at most about 88% of its gain, and much less on very small moves; see Fees for the numbers. Your margin and the payout go back to your trading balance, and the row shows CASHED with the amount.

When the pool is empty

Wins are paid from Papertrade’s pool. If the pool is empty, the profit waits in a queue and is paid when the pool can cover it. Your margin never waits.

Losses

A trade closed at a loss shows CLOSED, and a liquidated one shows LIQUIDATED. Losses mint PAPER; see PAPER and staking.
