Practice mode
Practice trades use $100,000 of play money at live prices. It's off until you switch it on.
Turning it on
Open Trade settings and switch on Practice trades. Your practice balance starts at $100,000 and shows in amber, with a Practice chip next to the price.
How it works
While practice is on, every new trade is a practice trade. It follows the live price but is simulated on your phone and never reaches Papertrade. Practice wins pay 90% of the gain less a 2% fee, a simpler rule than real trades (see Fees).
- Your real balance, deposits and withdrawals are untouched. Practice money can’t be topped up, so the low-balance banner doesn’t offer Deposit.
- Practice trades don’t mint PAPER and don’t appear in your trade history.
- Real positions you already have stay listed and can still be closed.
Starting over
Switching practice off removes practice trades. Switch it back on to start again with $100,000.
