Long and Short
Every trade is a Long or a Short on BTC or ETH, sized by the leverage and margin you set once in Trade settings.
Placing a trade
Press Long if you think the price goes up, Short if it goes down. One press opens a trade, and every press adds another position. Your very first trade shows a one-time check of your leverage and margin.
After you press, the row shows Signing… and then Queued with a timer until Papertrade fills it. There is no pop-up: the row turning live with its open price is the confirmation. Small trades fill last, so if one is still queued after 30 seconds you can cancel it. An order that isn’t filled within an hour drops, and its margin goes back to your balance.
Leverage and margin
Leverage is 1000×, 750×, 500×, or any custom value from 1× to 1000×. Margin per trade is $20, $50, $100 or a custom amount, up to your balance. Both save on their own and apply to every trade until you change them. The default is 1000× with $20.
| Leverage | Liquidation move | $20 margin trades |
|---|---|---|
| 1000× | 0.052% | $20,000 |
| 750× | 0.085% | $15,000 |
| 500× | 0.152% | $10,000 |
Minimum trade
Size is margin × leverage and must be $10,000 or more. If it is lower, the settings pill turns red and the app tells you how much leverage or margin you need.
Liquidation
If the price moves 1/leverage − 0.048% against you, the position is liquidated and the whole margin is lost. At 1000× that is a 0.052% move, which can happen in seconds.
There is no partial liquidation and no stop loss. Liquidation prices show on the chart as dashed lines, and the one nearest the price is marked BUST. A row turns amber as the price gets closer, then red with NEAR BUST. Papertrade liquidates positions; Crease only shows them.
